SMS Terms & Conditions
Effective date: September 18, 2026
Daymark Recovery Services operates two separate text-message programs, described below. Each uses its own sending number.
1. Secure Document Link Program
Daymark Recovery Services sends transactional text messages to patients, clients, employees, and other authorized recipients who have consented to receive them. Messages notify a recipient that a secure document is available for review or electronic signature. The text message does not contain the document itself and is not intended to contain protected health information or other sensitive information.
2. Daymark Recovery Services Staff Operational Alerts
Staff Operational Alerts provide recurring operational notices to employees who affirmatively enroll and verify their mobile number. Notices may concern facility closures, severe weather, system availability, or staffing and coverage needs.
Staff Alerts are not an emergency-notification service, and delivery is not guaranteed. Do not rely exclusively on SMS for emergencies.
Staff Alert message bodies are not used to send client, patient, clinical, treatment, appointment, or other protected health information.
3. Consent
Secure Document Links. By providing a mobile telephone number and agreeing to receive text messages, you authorize Daymark Recovery Services to send transactional messages to that number about secure documents and related service communications.
Staff Operational Alerts. Employees enroll through their authenticated Daymark Recovery Services account by selecting the alert groups they wish to join, providing a mobile number, and confirming a one-time verification code sent to that number. No alerts are sent until the number has been verified.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving healthcare services or employment. Alternative arrangements may be available by contacting Daymark Recovery Services.
4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies. For Secure Document Links, frequency depends on whether a document requires your review, acknowledgement, or signature. For Staff Operational Alerts, frequency depends on operational conditions and the alert groups you have joined.
5. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile service plan. Daymark Recovery Services is not responsible for charges imposed by your mobile carrier.
6. Opting out
You may stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to a message. After opting out, you may receive one final message confirming your request.
Replying STOP stops all messages from the number that sent the message. Because Secure Document Links and Staff Operational Alerts use different sending numbers, opting out of one program does not opt you out of the other.
Employees may also manage individual Staff Operational Alert group subscriptions, or leave all alert groups, through their authenticated Daymark Recovery Services account. You may also withdraw consent by contacting Daymark Recovery Services at (704) 939-1167.
7. HELP and support
Reply HELP for assistance, or contact Daymark Recovery Services at (704) 939-1167 (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET) or helpdesk@daymarkrecovery.org.
8. Delivery limitations
Text-message delivery depends on your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed. Messages may be delayed, filtered, or undelivered. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Do not rely exclusively on text messaging for time-critical or emergency information.
9. Prohibited and sensitive content
Do not send personal, medical, clinical, financial, password, or other sensitive information by replying to a Daymark Recovery Services text message. Daymark Recovery Services will not ask you to provide passwords, Social Security numbers, full medical information, or payment information by text message.
Each Secure Document Link message contains a unique link intended only for the recipient. Do not forward or share the link. Opening the link may require you to verify your identity before a document can be viewed, and links expire after the period stated in the message.
10. Privacy
Information associated with these programs is handled as described in our SMS Messaging Privacy Notice. Mobile telephone numbers, text-message opt-in data, and consent records are not sold, and are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
